London 2002
At the end of May, 17 of us visited London to go on a sleepover at the Science Museum.
We set off early on the Saturday morning, travelling by National Express and arrived at Victoria Coach Station right on time.
We first went to the Guide Heritage Centre and spent a couple of hours finding our about the history of Guiding and trying all the hands on experiments. The most popular thing was the small stage where were put on some sketches.
After visiting the Guide Shop we went on a walking tour of London, walking through Horseguards parade, then on to Downing Street.

We were allowed into Downing Street and were able to have our photo taken outside number 10. |
The security guards were having a quiet day so they spent a long time x-raying our bags, trying to guess what we had inside.
By now we were getting hungry so we went to McDonalds next to the Millennium Wheel for tea. This took a long time so we did not have time to walk to Kensington to the Science Museum so we all got on the Tube, which was very busy. We didn't manage to lose anything or anyone.
At the Science Museum we were shown to our sleeping area, which was underneath the space rockets.

The theme of the night was the Human Body. During the evening we did some experiments, watched a mad scientist, and explored the museum. |
After breakfast the next morning we went to the Imax Cinema and watched a film called Human Body. We saw inside the body and even saw a tomato being digested in the stomach!!
After we had finished in the gift shop we walked back to Victoria and had lunch in Pizza Hut, then into was back to the coach and home again.
